June 21 st at the Prunedale Grange, Glenn Church fulfilled his campaign promise to meet with North County residents to hear and discuss their concerns. Panel members also with the Supervisor, included Highway Patrol, County Sheriff, and Fire District representatives along with county planning department personnel.
The main issue surfaced by local residents were traffic difficulties and dangers on San Miguel Canyon Road during morning and evening rush hours. California Highway Patrol’s central coast commander urged attendees to use the following telephone number for reporting traffic issues, conditions, or dangerous drivers: 831-770-8000.
Concerns about road repairs needed in North County, illegal fireworks potentially starting fires on July 4 th and illegal housing of farm workers were also discussed.
