Monterey County Waste Management annually accepts dropped-off North County waste brought to dumpsters located in the Grange parking lot. Accepted waste items include mattresses, furniture, yard waste, Appliances w/o Freon, electronic waste, metals, tires but no rims (limit 2 per vehicle & no tractor tires). Limited hazardous waste is accepted including, anti-freeze, batteries, motor oil, latex paint in 1 gal jugs, medical sharps in approved containers.

The SnipBus organization has a 5-day block reserved to use the Youth Center each month for neutering North County cats. The 5-day block always contains the 1st Wednesday of the month occurs. Trapping and housing of feral cats occurs two days before neutering and 1 day of recovery after surgery.

Food Bank 9-10a.m.
The first Monday of each month from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. the Monterey County Food Bank hands out food to North County locals in need of food assistance. However, cars begin lining up at 8 a.m. and the handouts can run past 10 a.m. to 10:30
